Scan'n'plate (scan-n-plate.com) is a web app for managing establishment menus. For questions about personal data processing and this policy, contact letter@scan-n-plate.com.

When you sign in with Google, we store your Google ID, first name, last name, and email for account management.

Establishment data (name, description, address, contacts — phone, email, socials, website — opening hours, photos, etc.) and menu content are provided by you; they are stored on our servers and shown on the public establishment page.

We may receive technical data such as IP address, request headers, and logs from our hosting infrastructure.

The browser may store cart, last viewed establishment, preferred currency, and time format in localStorage; this data is not sent to the server as personal data.

We use a session cookie for authentication; without it, signing in to your account is not possible.

Google Analytics (gtag.js) is used for analytics; Google's data policies apply.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; requests and IP may be processed by Google.

Data may be processed by: Google (OAuth, analytics, fonts), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), AWS S3 (storage of establishment images), DeepL (translation of menu text). Processing regions are determined by these services; where data is transferred to third countries, we rely on legally provided safeguards.

Data is retained while your account is active. After account deletion we remove associated data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

You can request account and data deletion by writing to letter@scan-n-plate.com.

We use HTTPS, restrict API access by session, and verify ownership when data is modified. Infrastructure is hosted with providers that implement appropriate security measures.

You have the right to request access to your data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact letter@scan-n-plate.com; we will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days).

The service is not intended for users below the age at which consent to personal data processing is valid under local law. If we become aware of such data we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The current version is always at scan-n-plate.com/privacy; the last update date is shown at the bottom. By continuing to use the service after changes you accept the updated policy.
