About Scan’n’plate

A menu without barriers — for guests and for the team

We build a digital menu that works in any venue worldwide: from a corner coffee shop to a restaurant chain across three countries. No subscriptions, no hidden limits, in the guest’s own language.

Mission

We remove the friction between guests and venues. Paper menus go out of date in a day, translations are expensive, and price updates turn into a ritual with a printer and a laminator.

Scan’n’plate solves this with a single link: the guest scans a QR code and sees an up-to-date menu in their language, with photos, prices in their currency, and clear dish descriptions. The venue runs everything from one dashboard.

Story

The idea came after yet another trip where the menu was only in the local language, with no translation and no clear descriptions. Ordering became impossible — and that’s the baseline: understanding what you’re eating.

We shipped the first version in a few weeks: enter the menu once, get automatic translation into dozens of languages, and a QR code for each table. Then came feedback from restaurateurs, a UI rewrite, delivery, a cart, and view analytics.

Today Scan’n’plate isn’t “yet another menu builder” — it’s a tool for venues that want guests to come back: with photos, tags, time-based discounts, multi-currency, and delivery.

What matters to us

The principles that guide how we build the product.

Accessibility

Free tier forever. Every venue deserves a digital menu — not just those who can afford another SaaS subscription.

The guest’s language

Automatic translation into 7+ languages out of the box. Guests read the menu in their own language, not the owner’s.

Speed

Launch a menu in 5 minutes. No onboarding calls, no demos, no contracts. Sign in, fill it out, publish.

Transparency

Open data-handling policy, minimal collection, and the owner decides what gets published.
